THE NEW LANGUAGE OF LUXURY

The hotel openings of 2026 reveal a hospitality landscape shaped by different ideas of place. Some properties are built around nature. Others begin with architecture, heritage or wellness. In cities, historic buildings are being given new purposes, while emerging destinations are creating entirely new hospitality ecosystems.

What feels increasingly important is context.A hotel can be luxurious without looking the same as another luxury hotel. Its identity can come from the landscape outside the window, the building beneath the guest room, the traditions of the surrounding neighbourhood or the way wellness is incorporated into everyday life.

That makes the new hotel calendar particularly interesting.Across different continents and cultures, luxury hospitality is becoming more closely connected to its sense of place.

And in 2026, the address itself is becoming part of the story.
