5 Looks That Put Pajtim Raci on Our Radar

In an era when the red carpet has become as much a stage for fashion authorship as it is for celebrity, Pajtim Raci is building a language of his own — one defined by sculptural silhouettes, controlled sensuality and gowns that are designed to move as dramatically as the women wearing them.

There is a particular kind of glamour that refuses to be quiet. It is sculptural, sensual and made for the instant a camera turns toward it. In the work of Pajtim Raci, the gown is rarely simply a gown. It becomes movement, architecture and, at times, jewellery in its own right. The Kosovo-born designer has been steadily building a distinctive couture vocabulary around the female silhouette: fluid draping against structured bodies, exposed skin balanced by elaborate construction, and embellishment that feels less decorative than sculptural.

Across these five looks, one thing becomes clear: Raci understands how to make a fashion image linger.

01. Liquid Gold

Few things announce a designer quite like a signature colour — and this extraordinary gold look makes an immediate case for Raci’s command of glamour. The silhouette begins with a dramatically cut bodice, opening through the centre and sides to reveal the waist before falling into a draped, asymmetric skirt. At its centre, cascading crystal and metallic fringe creates a jewellery-like focal point, while the fabric sweeps dramatically onto the floor.

The effect is part goddess, part old-Hollywood fantasy, but unmistakably contemporary. What makes the look particularly compelling is its movement. The fabric appears almost liquid, catching the light as the wearer moves, while the structured placement of the draping keeps the silhouette controlled. It is glamour — but with engineering underneath it.

02. The Art of the Drape

Sculpted in metal, softened by movement. Overlapping fan-shaped panels in burnished silver and champagne gold cover the bodice like hand-set petals, each one outlined in delicate beading and crystal detail. A halter neckline plunges deep at the centre, while sharply cut-out sides carve the waist into a dramatic hourglass. Below the hips, the structure gives way to a curtain of fine chain fringe that catches the light with every step. Set against a warm, muted backdrop, the metallic surface glows, making the dress feel less like fabric and more like jewellery worn on the body.

03. When the Details Become the Statement

The first view of the gold gown is all about surface. Hundreds of fan-shaped panels overlap from bodice to hem, each edged in crystal and fine beadwork, so the dress reads like scales or shells set by hand. A sculpted sweetheart neckline meets a matching embellished collar, which frames the neck and gives the upper body a jewelled finish. Nothing interrupts the pattern. There are no seams to draw the eye and no contrasting fabrics, only texture repeated with precision.

That restraint is what makes the look work. The silhouette is fitted and controlled, following the body through the waist and hips, while the metallic finish shifts between soft gold and pale champagne as it catches the light. Against the warm, sandy backdrop, the gown almost disappears into its surroundings, leaving the craftsmanship as the focus. The embellishment does not simply decorate the dress; it becomes the design itself.

04. Crystal, Corsetry and Old-World Glamour

Then comes a completely different side of the Raci aesthetic. A structured, strapless crystal-covered bodice is paired with a dramatically fitted black skirt, creating a classic hourglass silhouette with a distinctly couture finish. Sheer embellished sleeves sit off the shoulders, adding another layer of texture without overwhelming the central construction.

The contrast is what makes it work: sparkle above, deep black below; softness against structure; ornament against restraint. Rather than relying on a complicated silhouette, Raci allows the embellishment to do the talking. Every crystal contributes to the illusion of a garment almost made from light. It feels timeless — but not safe.

05. Silver as Sculpture

The final look moves fully into statement couture. Here, the drama comes from contrast. A strapless black bodice, cut in a clean, structured line, becomes the canvas for an intricate web of pearl and crystal embroidery. Fine strands of pearls loop and swag across the chest in scalloped arcs, while a central column of beaded drops runs down the front, drawing the eye vertically through the torso. Along the neckline, delicate pearl fringe falls in short, trembling strands, and the same detailing continues at the waist in a band of pearls and crystals that anchors the design.

The details work like jewellery built directly into the garment. Each strand is placed with precision, so the pattern feels both ornate and controlled, more like a chandelier than a traditional embellishment. Long black gloves extend the silhouette and keep the palette dark, letting the pearls and crystals glow against the velvet-like fabric. The styling stays deliberately minimal: a sleek pulled-back hairstyle, defined brows, a glossy nude lip and oversized pearl drop earrings that echo the bodice. Against the warm, muted backdrop, the look feels polished, timeless and unmistakably couture.

Beyond the Dress

Five looks are enough to reveal a pattern. Pajtim Raci is interested in the relationship between the body and the garment — how fabric can frame it, how embellishment can become architecture, and how movement can completely transform a silhouette.

His official collections, including Euphoria, Celestique, Aurelia, Haute Velvet and Gilded, reflect that same fascination with embellished surfaces, sculptural evening wear and dramatic proportion.

His growing visibility on the international fashion scene is also increasingly reflected in the women choosing his work. His designs have appeared on figures including Olandria Carthen, La La Anthony, Quad Webb and others.

The most visible recent example is perhaps Olandria Carthen’s custom white Pajtim Raci gown for the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscar Party — a sheer, backless creation with dramatic wing-like trains that received significant fashion coverage. But the more interesting story is not simply the celebrity names.

It is the fact that, across very different silhouettes, the designer’s handwriting remains recognisable. Gold becomes liquid. Crystal becomes structure. Fringe becomes movement. Skin becomes negative space.

And that is usually the moment when a designer moves from being someone to watch to someone whose work you can recognise before you read the label.

Pajtim Raci is entering that conversation.
